9月16日晚，費志榮到廣西海事局檢查指導防御強臺風“山竹”工作，要求抓緊抓實抓細抓好全區交通運輸尤其是海上內河船舶防臺風防汛工作，突出重點，強化安全管控，嚴格落實禁航限航措施，加強應急值守，科學部署應急力量，做好應急處置準備，全力保障人民群眾生命財產安全。
